Centre for Action on Disabled Rights & Empowerment (CADRE),
is a Disabled People’s Organization, managed and run by the
persons with disabilities, with a non-profit, non-political, non-religious
outlook. The organization formed in the year, 2000, for empowering
the persons with disabilities by a group socially committed grassroots
level disability rights activists. CADRE is registered under Societies
Registration Act, 1830 Fasili, as Vikangula Chaitanya Sangham,
The
primary aim of the organization is to create adequate opportunities,
and effective mechanisms, to empower and build capacities of the
persons with disabilities to access equal opportunities, rights
and social justice to live a dignified life. The organization
has effectively facilitating various interventions, through campaigns,
awareness generation activities, rallies, legal activism, advocacy,
capacity building and community based rehabilitation for outreaching
outreach larger groups of persons with disabilities for addressing
their basic needs of education, health, economic and social development
process.
Vision
Persons with disabilities enjoy equal rights; have access to,
adequate resources, opportunities for living in a peaceful, harmonious
and socially just environment.
Mission
Build capacities of the grassroots level DPOs, NGOs, CBOs and
PWDs to strengthen them towards effective processes to assert
their rights, through rehabilitation and empowerment of the Persons
with Disabilities.
Core Beliefs:
• All needs of the Persons with disabilities are their rights
• Every right of the Person with disabilities is a Human
Right.
Aims
and Objectives

Realize the rights of the Persons with disabilities through
building capacities and empowering them, access equal opportunities,
and resources to claim their inclusion in general process of
development.

Empower
grassroots level DPO’s, CBO’s, NGOs, and Individuals
through trainings, capacity building, research studies, and
information dissemination processes

Build
community ownership and resources for Community Based Rehabilitation,
of the Persons with disabilities.

Facilitated
adequate linkages and resources for livelihood, health and education
for the PWDs.

To
undertake interventions for developing the capacities of the
tribal women with disabilities, children, and the most disadvantaged
communities and castes.
